In 2024 we began breeding Cape Lob Ears Goats with a goal of producing animals with spots and diverse skin colors. The Cape Lob Ears breed originates, from Africa. Possesses the ability to thrive in challenging environments such as dry and wet regions across South Africa. With a rate of triplet births within our herd we anticipate rapid growth which positions the Cape Lob Ears as a lucrative investment, for the future. Animals purchased from a breeder were brought to combine the gene pools accessible, by Lasarus. These goats are an addition, to any farm; they are adored by many who enjoy capturing photos of these creatures with their spotted coats.
This is a large, framed goat that is well-muscled, has a rather strong bone structure, and has a large lob (hanging / droopy) of ears.
Dapple-, marble- and flowery patterns of various colour combinations generally occur among this strain of Indigenous goats, although single colours and combinations thereof are also found.
At Kilima Horned Heritage Programme, we pride ourselves on offering the highest quality genetics, ensuring superior resilience and performance in our Ankole cattle and other valuable game species.
